Jane and Lydia spent a week in May 2008 walking El Camino de Santiago ("The Way of St. James"), a 110 kilometer, week-long pilgrimage from Sarria to the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in Galicia in northwestern Spain, where legend has it that the remains of the apostle Saint James the Great are buried. El Camino de Santiago has existed for over a thousand years, and was one of the most important Christian pilgrimages during medieval times.

The six-member Confirmation Class of 2008 was confirmed on April 20 at Trinity & St. Philip's Cathedral in Newark, by the Rt. Rev. Mark Beckwith, Bishop of Newark. They are shown here with two members of the Confirmation Class of 2009 and their Confirmation teachers, at left the Rev. Bernie Poppe, Rector, and at right the Rev. Chris Carroll, Priest Associate, and Jane Bleasdale.
